The Swaddlebees Mattress Pad is a large mat (70 x 90 cm), with a waterproof backing of PUL (like nappy covers), an absorbent cotton sherpa core, and microfleece top layer.

Having the PUL and absorbent core means that ‘accidents’ are absorbed by the mat and the floor is safe.  It also provides a layer of softness if the floor is hard.

The mats can be machine washed with your nappies after use, or rinsed and washed with clothes if you do not use cloth nappies. The Swaddlebees mat dries quickly as it is a cotton blend, and can also be tumble dried on a warm setting.

Do not use fabric softener or vinegar when washing any of the mats as this will damage the absorbency and waterproof layers.

They can also be used:

• as a mattress protector in the bassinette or cot (to catch leaks or posits)
• as a large change mat (especially good in public as no part of the child touches the floor)
• as a rug when playing at the park (it stops the damp from the grass coming through)
• on the bed when toilet training overnight
• in the car on long trips ‘just in case’

The colour or patten is on the PUL which is placed on the floor. The child lies on the plain white side.
