What you need to know about hiring nappies

All of our nappies are available to hire.  This allows you to try the different types without the risk that the nappies you have bought will not suit your child.

After a personal consultation to determine your particular circumstances, you will be given a list of nappies that are more likely to suit your child. You can choose to purchase them straight away, or you can hire them and try them out. You can buy the nappies you have hired at a reduced rate.

All of the nappies for hire are NEW. This means that you will have to do the prewash routine to get them ready for use (full instructions will be given), but no other child will have used them.

Enough nappies will be provided for full time use, washing every day.

Wet bags and wipes are also available to hire, as these make using cloth nappies a lot easier!

If you wish to try a single nappy (for example you know that you love cloth but want to see if another style will suit your child), you can hire it for $5 per nappy per week, with a $50 bond.

A full time ‘stash’ varies in hire costs, depending on which nappies you wish to try, and for how long.

The minimum hire period is three weeks for a full set of nappies, and two weeks for a single nappy. This allows you to get used to the washing routine, and try the nappies in different circumstances.

During the time of your hire, you have access to unlimited advice and questions. (Of course this is also true when you buy any nappies from us.) We want you to be happy with your decision!

Long term hires are available with reduced charges.

A $150 bond is payable at the start of the hire, and will be refunded when the nappies are returned in acceptable condition. This will be explained when you organise your hire.

Conditions of hire:

• The nappies must be in the same condition when returned (washed and used is fine of course), but no stains. Superior Posteriors recommends that you use a liner (reusable or flushable) while using the hired nappies. We also recommend that you wash in Rockin Green detergent.
• If a nappy is stained, please let us know, and if we can remove the stain you will get your bond back. If we cannot remove the stain, you will have to purchase the nappy (at the reduced rate).
• Please do not give your child panadol while using the hired nappies.
• The bond can be used as credit should you decide to purchase the hired nappies, or towards other purchases, or refunded.
• The bond and hire amounts are to be paid prior to the hire. Should you wish to extend the hire period, you must inform us via email before the current hire period is up, and pay the extended time in advance.
• Bond and hire charges may be paid via direct deposit, PayPal or cash.
